Job Description
The Accountant will help implement and maintain MTN Nigeria's accounting policies in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The successful candidate will support financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Accountant include:
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies in line with IFRS.
- Maintain and update financial policies and procedures.
- Review contracts and business proposals to identify accounting requirements.
- Assess the impact of new accounting standards and share updates with relevant teams.
- Support the preparation of interim and annual financial reports.
- Research complex accounting issues and provide financial advice.
- Participate in month-end closing activities.
- Work with internal and external auditors during audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for the MTN Nigeria Accountant position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a first degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Be fluent in English.
- Have a professional accounting qualification, such as ICAN or ACCA.
Required Experience
